Life-sized artwork greets children in Outpatients

The new wallpaper mural in the Galliers Children’s Outpatient Clinic is sure to entertain and brighten the hospital visit for our youngest patients.
The artwork was funded by the Armadale Health Service (AHS) Auxiliary, with proceeds from goods sold at the kiosk.
The marine-inspired wallpaper was created by Wicked Walls, making the waiting room less clinical, less scary and more inviting.
And while little Grace Niemand is too young to appreciate the artwork – she was more interested in the television according to her mum Adele – she may wonder in the future about the giant dolphins and life sized sting rays adorning the walls.
Outpatient Service Manager Naomi Sopi said the aim was to make children feel more comfortable when attending the clinic.
For staff, it makes it easier to do observations when children are entertained.
