Speech Pathology

We provide adult speech pathology services to adult inpatients and outpatients experiencing swallowing, communication and voice disorders. 

Our services include: 

• Speech, voice and language assessment and management (including rehabilitation & therapeutic intervention) 
• assessment and management of swallowing disorders including videofluoroscopy procedures 
• support for tracheostomy management 
• management during end-of-life care 
• provision of augmentative and alternative (AAC) communication devices and strategies 
• education and counselling for family and carers around communication and swallowing disorders  
• referral to other external agencies as appropriate 
• clinical training for students 
• research and quality improvement projects
